OPUAMA FIELD
The Opuama Field was discovered in 1972 (Opuama-1 well). Production from Opuama began in 1975, reaching a peak output of 11,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) from five wells: Opuama-1, 3, 5, 6, and 7.
GBETIOKUN FIELD
The Gbetiokun Field is situated to the southeast of OML 40 and was discovered in 1987 (Gbetiokun-1 well), drilled by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) and further appraised by Gbetiokun-2 (SPDC) drilled in 1990-91.
SIBIRI FIELD
Approximately 7 kilometers from the Opuama Field, Sibiri was discovered in 2022 by the Sibiri-1 well, which encountered eight hydrocarbon-bearing sands. The well was completed on D4000 and D2000 and tested via an Extended Well Test (EWT).
Elcrest in conjunction with her partner, NEPL, designed, constructed and installed a 55,000 BOPD capacity Lease Automated Custody Transfer unit (LACT) at the Shell operated Otumara flow-station.
The Benin River Valve station (BRVS) is part of the 16 inches by 36KM Opuama-Otumara-Forcados oil delivery line close to the Benin River estuary. The strategy employed for the evacuation of the Gbetiokun processed crude oil entails the use of two shuttle vessels capable of loading 25,000 Bbls and the other 50,000 Bbls.
In 2022, Elcrest announced an agreement with Naphta Global Exploration & Production Ltd for a 95% equity farm-in to the Abiala marginal field, while Naphta retains a 5% carried interest. Additionally, Elcrest was appointed as the Operator, Technical & Financial Partner in the Elcrest/Naphta Joint Venture.
