The Opuama rural electrification project has the primary objective of providing an environmentally sustainable power source to the Opuama Flowstation (FS).
Specifically, this project requires the installation of 2 x 1MW gas-fired generators that will not only provide power to the FS, but also to our host communities, Opuama and Tsekelewu towns, which serves as OML-40 JV’s Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) to ensure that they benefit from the JV’s oil production activities.
The project will further provide savings with respect to the operation expenditure (OPEX) of approximately $x annually with the elimination of diesel-fired generators at the FS, as well as these host communities.
This project will be commissioned in Q4 2024.
